My Bio

I was born at the end of the Hudson River Line in Poughkeepsie, NY. The first born to Duffy and Mitzi a working class couple.

I was born at the end of the Hudson River Line in Poughkeepsie, NY. The first born to Duffy and Mitzi a working class couple. Dad was a milkman and teamster and  mom back then was a homemaker. I think because I was the first born I was raised like a boy ( regardless of the fact I was a girl ). Dad brought me up to be tough, street smart and to take care of the family. Maybe it was that attention to the family that caused me to fall in love with the stories they would tell, but fall in love I did. This is where my love of acting took hold, in the simple act of conversation and the telling of the human story.

I would write my own little plays and make my friends act out the parts and charge the neighborhood kids. Later I would work up the courage to audition for local plays. This became my holy place the theater where I learned, grew and realized. I did try for awhile to do “the practical jobs” , but in the end the love of who I was and where I was meant to be won out. I acted in various community and regional theater groups for years, finally branching out to Film and TV in 2015.

I was very fortunate to have been guided to incredible mentors & teachers; Anthony Robert Grasso and his brilliant On Screen Actors Class, transformed everything for me. His Master Class in Florence, Italy with the incomparable Janice Orlandi took me forever to another level in everything I approach. And finally the mama shark herself , Jen Rudolph for her rounding out the rest of what it takes in this business.

It is always an experience of pure joy being on set. To even express the happiness of working on a project that you love. As an actor I think we all have a favorite memory. Mine was portraying the only woman who ever received the Medal of Honor, Dr Mary Walker for Mysteries At The Museum for the Travel Channel. We were were all fully invested in the telling of her story and after we all laughed drunk with the joy of it. To feel like that every moment… who would want to be anything else? Currently I’m working on creating content and continuing auditioning. I just finished various projects that until announced I can’t reveal at this time, but soon.

When I’m not acting I get to spend time with my Music Man & husband, Thom Kiernan and my greatest productions our 3 kids and our adorable granddaughter. I still live in the rural Hudson Valley, which is one of the most  beautiful places ever! I love to ride horses, drink a bit of bourbon ( maybe even throw in a nice cigar with that) and heck yeah I can sure as hell tell ya how to catch a grease pig! Cause underneath it all I’m just me…. The milkman’s daughter.
